JOB SUMMARY

The Night Shift Production provides a critical role in the manufacturing of high-quality precast concrete duct banks. This position is responsible for safely operating overhead cranes and forklifts to move forms, materials, and finished products throughout the plant while supporting general production activities. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment during overnight hours. This role is pivotal in ensuring that production is set up to succeed in their daily production goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely operate overhead cranes to lift, position, and move precast concrete forms and finished concrete products
  • Operate forklifts to transport raw materials and finished goods within the facility and yard
  • Assist in production activities such as oiling, stripping, cleaning, and preparing concrete forms and lifters
  • Conduct pre-shift and daily inspections of cranes, forklifts, rigging, and lifting devices; immediately report unsafe conditions or defects
  • Use approved rigging techniques and inspect slings, hooks, chains, and hardware before use
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
  • Accurately follow production schedules, work instructions, and supervisor direction
  • Work collaboratively with production team members, quality, and maintenance personnel
  • Other duties as assigned per supervision

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work on feet for extended periods
  • Work in conditions that may include dust, noise, vibration, temperature changes, and outdoor exposure
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility vests, and steel-toed shoes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in precast concrete or heavy manufacturing
  • Experience with large-load or gantry cranes
  • Forklift operation and driving experience
  • Basic knowledge of concrete production processes
